Iron Fence Painting in Vista

Recently, I had the pleasure of working on an iron fence painting project right here in Vista, CA. The fence had seen better days, with loose paint and some spots of rust that needed attention. I always enjoy these kinds of jobs because they give me a chance to not only restore something but also to learn more about my clients and their homes.

The first step was preparing the fence. I spent some time sanding down the loose paint, which can be a bit tedious but is so important for achieving a smooth finish. I like to think of this as a way of giving the fence a fresh start. After that, I applied Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer to the rusty spots. It’s satisfying to know that I’m stopping the rust from developing further and protecting the fence for years to come.

Once the prep work was done, I moved on to applying the Clean Metal Primer, followed by two coats of Semi-Gloss DTM Enamel. Watching the transformation was rewarding; the fence went from dull and rusty to vibrant and fresh. I always feel a sense of pride when I step back and see the results of my work. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about enhancing the home and making it more inviting.
